Summary

Assist the Global Sourcing department with supply chain activities including but not limited to:  procuring goods and services, raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, advertising and other materials associated with the wind turbine industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and convert Purchase Requisitions within the SAP ERP system.

  • Run and analyze SAP reports tracking spend, pricing, delivery, and other key metrics.

  • Issue, coordinate T&C alignment, and manage acknowledgments for purchase orders within SAP.

  • Monitor, resolve issues as they arise, and expedite as necessary the delivery of goods and services.

  • Maintain select procurement records such as items or services purchased, cost savings, pricing lists, bid lists, and

  • other documents as deemed necessary by departmental management.

  • Assist in invoice resolution related to the three-way match process. 

  • Assist in resolution for non-confirming material with suppliers.

  • Manage the logistics coordination for internationally purchased items.

  • Negotiate and benchmark pricing and contracts across the Mitsubishi family of companies.

  • Work with Engineering and other key stakeholders to identify new sources of supply and component repair.

  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, engineering drawings, engineering specifications for material, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database.

  • Management Skills:  Ability to effectively communicate job task, goals and projects to global sourcing staff as well as manage and delegate when necessary.
