Collaboration with Wartsila for Shaft Generator sales in Japan

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery and Equipment Co., Ltd (MHI-MME) strengthens business relationship with the technology group Wartsila Qy by starting a strong collaboration on shaft generator system including battery hybrid system in Japanese market.

The collaboration shall comprise joint sales, technical advisory and technical service, aiming to further introducing Wartsila shaft generator system in Japanese market and enhancing MHI-MME’s product portfolio related to energy saving systems.

Wartsila shaft generator systems are globally market leading in shipping with 650 vessels sailing with it using latest generator, converter and control system technologies.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery and Equipment as a group member of MHI, will leverage its business of marine machinery and systems and contribute to the further development of marine logistics and reduction of environmental loads.
