Tokyo, Japan, April 14th, 2014 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) exhibited at Sea Japan 2014 at Tokyo Big Sight from April 9th to 11th. MHI-MME's first challenge for welcoming marine participants at its bar counter got a favorable reception with number of customer voices.
MHI-MME co-exhibited with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), MHI Marine Engineering, Ltd (MHI-ME). and Calnetix Technologies, LLC* (Calnetix) from the USA. Actual equipment such as ORC module (Calnetix), Digital Radio Type Optical Torsion Meter (MHI-ME) attracted the visitors, and number of guests looked on these displays. Also, MHI-MME exhibited three monitors which introduces, Project MEET**(MHI-MME), Products of Sagamihara District of MHI (MHI) such as high speed engines and turbochargers, and ORC (Calnetix).
Number of guests including ship owners and the shipbuilders enjoyed the talking with our bartenders who are performed by MHI-MME's managements. This bar counter was prepared at the open space that creates a different atmosphere from the usual meeting room, and leads the conversation more frankly. MHI-MME will take the voice of customers seriously and utilize them to provide better services and products in the future.
*Calnetix Technologies provides high-speed generators / motors for MHI-MME's Hybrid Turbochargers and Electric Assist Turbochargers. Also, Calnetix and MHI-MME are collaborating to develop a marine ORC system to generate power from engine jacket water heat.
