MHI-MME Conducted User Conference in Singapore Made specific proposals for the improvement of operation and maintenance

Tokyo, Japan, December 1, 2014 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) held the User Conference 2014 in Singapore, on November 27, 2014. Number of guests from ship management companies joined this conference, and MHI-MME introduced not only information about products which were mainly useful for operation but also after-sales service menus.

MHI-MME made two trials at this conference. One was that we set up booths to deepen the relationship with guests; we took time to have individual meetings in order to hear their opinions and to answer questions. The five booths were set up in each product: engines, turbochargers, propellers, steering gears and deck cranes. At each booth, the guests and MHI-MME personnel made further discussions on specific projects, for which we got favorable comments from the attendees.

The other trial was that we made presentations of specific proposals which could directly lead to the reduction of the operating and maintenance costs. Many attendees were listening attentively to the presentations.

We are going to hold user conference in Imabari and Tokyo next February and March 2015. MHI-MME will continuously conduct the activities to deepen the communications and relationship with our customers.
