Searching Flight
REV search Mission
Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) commission Institute for Unmanned Space Experiment Free Flyer (USEF) to develop and operate Unmanned Space Experiment Recovery System (USERS). USEF launched the USERS by H-IIA rocket and conduct several experiment utilizing micro gravity environment. Recovery vehicle (REV) carried experimental result returned and splashdown to east of Ogasawara Islands from space. 8 month after launching. Our G-II departed from SAIPAN and search REV at recovery area. We successfully found REV and salvaged by the ship.
H-II A rocket fearing search Mission
The fearing portion protected for Satellite which mounted on H-IIA rocket launched by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) are splashdown to the public ocean after deployment of Satellite. This fearing should be salvaged by the ship but are scattered far and wide in course of time. We search fearing by G-II to assist salvage ship.
HYFLEX Data Acquisition and Searching
As a part of developing HOPE(H-II Orbiting Plane-Experimental), HYFREX (Hypersonic Flight Reentry Experiment) vehicle was launched from J-1 rocket by NASDA (National Space Development Agency of Japan).
Our airplane waited at the expected recovery area of HYFREX at Ogasawara Island and succeeded in receiving the telemeter data signal such as aerodynamic heating and aerodynamic characteristics and so on from HYFREX. We also found ditching point.
OREX Data Acquisition flight
OREX was the prototype reentry vehicle for developing the Japanese space shuttle "HOPE" (H-II Orbiting Plane-Experimental) and launched by H-II A rocket installing many sensors for aerodynamics, aero-heating, communication break phenomenon, navigation, and many basic data. Our airplane waited at the expected recovery area of OREX at Christmas Island and succeeded in receiving the telemeter data signal from OREX.
TR-1 Rocket Searching Flight
TR-1 rocket is launched by NASDA (National Space Development Agency of Japan) from Tanegashima-island for long micro-gravity experiment (around 6 minutes), up to the height of 260 kilometers. After experiment the rocket head was hanged by parachute and ditched to Pacific Ocean and pick up. Our airplane waited at the expected recovery area and searched and found the head of rocket and guide the salvaged ship to the point.
