The North American operation was established in 1981, building on the success of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ launch in Japan of its converting machinery equipment line in 1957.

Through the years and continuing through today, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Corrugating Machinery Division serves the growing, dynamic packaging industry with leading edge equipment systems, sales, parts, technical and field support, making it one of the most respected suppliers to converters in North and Central America.

There are over 600 corrugating and box making machines manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries installed across the globe. Serviced by divisions in Mihara Japan, Almere, Netherlands and Hunt Valley, Maryland, USA, these machines produce billions of feet of corrugated board and billions more corrugated boxes every year.

Many machines have been in operation for 30 years or more and continue to generate profitable output for converting companies across all market segments.
