Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCO-I), a leader in the design and manufacturing of compressors, steam turbines and associated auxiliaries, has named Shohei Toyota as president and CEO.

Toyota brings 28 years of experience with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and a distinguished record of driving innovation to MCO-I. His new role underscores MCO-I’s commitment to strengthening its North American presence and advancing its after-sales services.

Toyota began his career with MHI in 1997, joining its compressor business in 2008. During his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in numerous strategic initiatives.

Toyota commented, “I am honored to lead MCO-I and continue its legacy of delivering state-of-the-art turbomachinery. Together, we will focus on providing valuable, customer-centric solutions. We will continue to innovate technologically, supporting our partners and new business growth as the industry evolves.”

While stationed in Tokyo for 23 years in export and commercial sales, Toyota strengthened key customer relationships mainly across Asia. He managed several products, including power systems, chemical plants and compressors. For three years, he held concurrent positions at both MCO-I and MHI, driving business growth and development across many units. Under Toyota, MCO-I will expand its leadership in reliable compression systems and cutting-edge technology across North America.
