Tokyo, Japan – (March 17, 2017) Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (“MCO”) has announced the appointment of Yasuyuki Yamane as President & CEO. He succeeds Hiroaki Osaki, who will take up a new role as company Chairman. Both appointments are effective April 1.
Yamane is a veteran of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (“MHI”), having joined in 1981 as a turbine design engineer in the company’s machinery division. He subsequently gained significant experience working with MHI’s turbomachinery technology, focusing mainly on steam turbine engineering for petrochemical and power generation plants.
Yamane became General Manager of the Houston office of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (“MHIA”) in 2000. He was then a founding member of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCO-I), serving as Vice President of MCO-I from 2012 to 2015. He currently serves as Senior Vice President and Global Business Development Lead at MCO.

In addition to serving as Chairman, Osaki will simultaneously retain his current position as President of MHIA’s Oil & Gas Division, working together with Yamane to provide one stop solutions for the oil & gas industry.
