Bridging the distance with customers and contributing to Brazil’s economic development

Our company was established in 2016 as a Brazilian joint venture between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO) and Mitsubishi Corporation. Our activities focus primarily on sales and after-sales services with the aim developing the Latin American market. We’re working to expand compressor sales for systems used in deep-sea oil field development projects, including Floating Production, Storage and Offloading.

In Brazil, despite the recent economic downturn and corruption issues, the extraction of oil from offshore pre-salt oil fields run by state-owned oil company Petrobras is continuing steadily, and Brazil’s economy is expected to recover following the inauguration of its new president in January 2019.

Additionally, MCO has supplied more than 100 compressors and driver steam turbines to Latin America for pipelines, petrochemical facilities and offshore production facilities since the 1990s. MCO offers prompt local after-sales service and customer response systems which we aim to improve even further in future.

Annual year-end party celebrates Japanese culture

Every year, we host a “bo-nen-kai” (end-of-year party) for employees from Piracicaba Headquarters and the Rio de Janeiro sales office. Employees from these two locations have few opportunities to meet in person, so the party is an excellent opportunity for everyone to discuss their work and share any issues that have occurred throughout the year. The event is ideal for welcoming in the new year with a positive attitude, while openly exchanging ideas and deliberating plans for the future of business.
