Making youth and energy our team’s strengths
The Production Branch handles everything from assembly to shipment preparations for products ranging from small-sized steam turbines to large-sized steam turbines weighing over 100 tons. Due to the wide variety of not only product sizes but also models and specifications from customer to customer, advanced technologies are required to meet their specific needs. What makes our team unique is our young average age, with half of us being in our 20s. We have energy, we work hard, and we play hard. Sometimes we become overzealous because we are young, so we talk to each other while we work to maintain the quality of our work and improve safety.

Our Pride
We have confidence in our vigor as our team mostly consists of people in their 20s and 30s. We are proud of how open we are and our ability to be open and straight-forward at work and in our private lives.

Out into the world!
Leveraging factory experience for great success overseas too!
The turbines built here, at MHI Compressor, are used around the world, mainly in the Middle East. We periodically inspect customers’ turbines at their plants once every few years. The Production Branch supports them by spending about a month on site to do everything from major overhaul to reassembly and plant restart.

Work Partner
3D measuring device
This 3D measuring device was born from on-site improvement activities. It has reduced man-hours and lead time and prevents quality variation by quantifying measurement work. More specifically, it reduced lead time from five days to three, and halved the man-hours required for measurement work.

Shipment preparation

We are responsible for processes ranging from turbine assembly to installation and test runs, performing overhaul after test runs, and preparing them for shipment. No one person is responsible for a specific job, allowing for all members to be involved in each process.
From the team
I was only working with turbines, but going forward,
I want to learn other processes and gain a wide variety of skills.
Joined the company in 2015. Has been with the company for nine years and is a key team member. As the team’s most skilled member, he is relied on by his coworkers. He is also actively communicating with other team members. Is currently studying for the Expert Level Skills Test. Hobbies include playing baseball for a grass-lot team. He balances work, home-life, and hobbies.

I want to cultivate the ability to think and act autonomously,
like my seniors, and to get involved with overseas projects!
