Press Information
On February 10, five first-year students at Yukigaya Junior High School in Ota-ku, Tokyo, visited the Head Office in Shinagawa to learn and experience how work at MHI is conducted. The event was held in conjunction with an initiative whereby students visit companies as an incentive to get them to think about the significance of working and to consider in which direction they should continue their studies.
At the end of their visit, the students spoke enthusiastically about what they had gained from the experience that day. "I learned how the products made by the MHI Group support our everyday lives," one stated. "I became familiar with a variety of different products, arousing my interest in many things," commented another. One student remarked on how she came to understand how the participation of many different people go into making a product and making a company function smoothly.
We hope that the students' visit to MHI and what they saw, heard and felt will help them in deciding their future paths.
Going forward, through activities including Company visits, science classes and internships, MHI will continue to offer next-generation development support activities for a wide range of age groups – from elementary school pupils through graduate school students.
