Bulletin Board Notice re MHI Group Operations Affected by Flooding in Thailand

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
The continuing flooding in Thailand is partially impacting the operation of MHI’s production bases in the country. As of October 18 the extent of the known damage is as follows.

    • Extent of flood damage
      As of October 18 the gas turbine high-temperature parts repair plant operated by EGAT Diamond Service Co., Ltd. – a joint venture of MHI, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Mitsubishi Corporation – is surrounded by floodwaters and operations of the plant have been halted. The plant is located within the Nava Nakorn Industrial Estate in Pathum Thani Province, close to Bangkok. As access inside the plant is not possible at this time, the extent of damage to the premises and/or equipment is unknown. The safety of all employees has been confirmed.
    • Impact on earnings
      In the event of any projected change of significant scale to the earnings outlook resulting from flood damage, we will issue notification promptly.
    • Impact on major MHI Group production bases in Thailand

      Flood damage: As the industrial park is flooded, access inside the plant is not possible and the extent of any damage to the facilities is unknown.
