Concerning Media Reports Circulating Today

Today, some news media are reporting that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has concluded a tieup with IHI Corporation (IHI) in the aircraft engine business. Although MHI is presently in discussions with IHI concerning potential cooperation in the production of aircraft engine parts, the contents of today's media reports are not based on any announcement to such effect by MHI; nor has the company made any decision at this juncture relating to the form such production collaboration might take.
