Concerning Media Reports on MHI and Siemens' Potential Proposal for Certain Assets of French Conglomerate Alstom

Some media report that MHI and Siemens have reached a firm decision to submit a proposal calling for a joint bid for Alstom's energy assets. However, as of the present time MHI has made no such decision; and other details being reported, such as the acquisition scheme and purchase amount, are still under consideration. The media also reported a possibility that a company other than MHI and Siemens will join in the bidding. However, only MHI and Siemens would jointly make proposition.
