Gas Holder

Stores a large capacity of gas at variable capacity and constant pressure.
Suitable to store a large quantity of variable-storage gas. This is used as a buffer tank that absorbs imbalance between the amount of byproduct gas generated from ironworks and its consumption.

Lineup

Cylindrical Oil Seal (COS) type gas holder

Original gas holder developed in the 1980s by MHI. The strong points of the conventional polygonal and grease-sealed gas holder are incorporated for improvement. This gas holder has a gas sealing mechanism by cylindrical/seal oil static pressure and is suitable for storing a large amount of relatively high-pressure gas. It is used mainly to store blast furnace gas and coke oven gas in ironworks. All of the gas holders we construct are of this type.

Polygonal gas holder

A gas holder developed by MAN in Germany. The structure is sealed by a polygonal/seal oil static pressure gas type sealing mechanism. We perform a range of maintenance services for this structure, such as replacing the sealing equipment, conducting seismic retrofits, repairing weld cracks on the side plate, and replacing corroded parts. We also respond to requests for the maintenance of gas holders manufactured by other companies.

Grease-seal gas holder

A gas holder developed by Klǒnne in Germany. The structure is sealed by a cylindrical/grease-sealed type gas sealing mechanism. We perform a range of maintenance services for this structure, such as replacing the sealing equipment, repairing the grease feeders, and replacing corroded parts.
