The next generation cargo transfer spacecraft, HTV-X, is a successor to the HTV (H-II Transfer Vehicle) developed in response to the operational extension of the International Space Station (ISS). HTV-X enhances transportation capabilities and adds the capability to provide various users with on-orbit demonstration opportunities for up to 1.5 years after leaving ISS until re-entry. Under the development led by JAXA, MHI is responsible for the system and the pressurized module(Note), and efficiently developing them by using the experience gained from the HTV program at the maximum.
  • It provides a pressurized space for onboard cargos. Refer to the transparent section in the right diagram.
