1. 18th MATES Technology Exchange Meeting on November 17, 2020
We, Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., held the 18th MATES Technology Exchange Meeting on November 17, 2020. Considering the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held in the style of webinar which was the fist time for us, nevertheless around 200 participants, not only existing customers but also potential customers, eventually joined there, which far exceeded our initial expectations. In the meeting, we made presentations on our future development plans and progresses of MATES and MHI Marine Engineering, Ltd. introduced the initial 3D design utilizing MATES. Normally, the venue would be a place for active exchange of opinions and information among participants. In that sense, it was hard to make such a place as expected due to the restrictions of webinar style this time. Despite our worries, however, we have received a lot of responses and opinions about our presentations, which is greatly appreciated. Incorporating those valuable opinions received, we will continue to develop the systems that are to be usuful to the shipbuilding industry. Next year we wish to be able to provide a place for interaction with participants again and truly look forward to seeing you all at the “19th MATES Technology Exchange Meeting”.
